Shuttle Service to Trinity Site and Very Large Array (VLA)

Special Guided Tours are available at the Very Large Array on twice a year. Self-guided tours and the Visitor Center are available every day.

 

 

On July 16, 1945, the world's first atomic bomb exploded at Trinity Site. Trinity Site is open to the public twice a year.

 

 

 
         

 
Shuttle van will leave from the Socorro City Plaza at 8:00 AM to Trinity Site and return around 11:30 AM. Visitors can eat lunch at a local restaurant, and then take the shuttle van to the Very Large Array at 1:00 PM. The van may stop in Magdalena for the decorated egg exhibit. Cost is $10 per person to Trinity Site and $10 per person to the VLA.
