The Chamber of Commerce and Cottonwood Valley Charter School

are recipients of a
2009 KNMB Solid Waste Grant
to replace non-biodegradable styrofoam lunch trays with earth-friendly compostable trays.
This grant was provided by
Keep New Mexico Beautiful, Inc. through a grant from New Mexico Clean & Beautiful,
a division of the New Mexico Tourism Department.

RECYCLE NOW!

The City of Socorro sponsors two drop off recycle days per month:
1. The first Saturday of each month, the Socorro  High School's Football team collects newspapers and the National Honor Society collects aluminum cans. This fundraiser is held in the vacant lot south of Ace Hardware on California St. 8:30 to 11:30AM.
2. On the third Saturday of each month, the Socorro County Chamber of Commerce has a recycle drop off location at the city plaza for paper and paperboard. 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM.
